QUESTIONS FOR POTENTIAL MEMBER

Q: HOW DID YOU KNOW YOU WERE MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION WHEN JOINING A SORORITY?

A: Wherever you feel you can be your real self is where you belong. Learn about each sorority and their values, goals, and missions. Seek out like minded girls who share the same values as you. Pick the sorority where you look up to the women as role models and want to surround yourself with.

QUESTIONS FOR PARENTS

Q: I SEE HOW SORORITIES ARE ON TELEVISION, HOW IS DELTA ZETA AT NORTHWOOD UNIVERSITY DIFFERENT?

A: Total for our chapter has never been higher than 45 members. With a close niche group of women, we all get to know one another on more personal levels than sororities at large universities that have hundreds of members. Being as small as we are, we create stronger bonds together. The members of Delta Zeta at Northwood University join for the purpose of furthering their leadership skills, academic success while creating friendships that will last a lifetime.

Q: AM I GOING TO BE HAZED IF I JOIN A SORORITY?

A: Hazing is strictly forbidden at Northwood University. Hazing is also forbidden for each one the three sororities. If you are being hazed before, or after recruitment we advise you to report it IMMEDIATELY. Hazing is not sisterly behavior and we take the matter seriously.

Q: WHAT VALUES DOES THIS ORGANIZATION PROMOTE?

A: Delta Zeta values the pursuit of knowledge, social responsibility, giving back to the community, and building lifetime friendships. Each member strives to encourage women all around them to be both leaders and servers in the community.
